The
Inside Passage
Cruise
Alaska's spectacular Inside Passage
betwee n Ketchikan and Juneau (or
reverse) aboard the Spirit of Yorktown, Spirit of '98,
or Spirit of Endeavour. The small ships
of Cruise West allow for exploration of
the sheltered waters and small port
towns not visited by the large ships. Visit
some of the most impressive coastal
highlights such as Misty Fjords National
Monument, Frederick Sound, Lynn Canal,
Sitka Sound, and Tracy Arm, home to the
immense Sawyer Glaciers. This cruise
includes a full day to discover Glacier
Bay National Park with a park
naturalist. Ports of call include the Tsimshian village of Metlakatla,
Petersburg, Sitka, Skagway, and Haines.
Northbound - Ketchikan to Juneau
Arrival on your own. You
will be met on arrival at the airport
for transfer to your ship. Enjoy a
welcome dinner that provides the
chance to meet the crew and some of
your shipmates. Overnight on board.
Day 02:
Misty Fjords and Metlakatla
Cruise the magical Misty
Fjords National Monument. Later, explore native Tsimshian history at the tiny
island-city of Metlakatla.

03:
Petersburg
Today's stop in Petersburg gives you a
glimpse of life in a remote fishing
town. A visit will be made to the Sons
of Norway Hall to watch the Leikarring
Dancers perform. This evening, cruise to Thomas Bay.
Day 04:
Cruising
Search for
whales feeding in Frederick Sound and
icebergs plummeting into the sea in
narrow Tracy Arm.
Day 05:
Sitka
Travel
through Peril Strait and Sergius Narrows
on your way to Sitka, a route only
navigable by small ships. Learn more
about this thriving
port, once the capital of Russian
America, during a guided walk through
the National Historic Park. Keep your
eyes open for playful otters, Sitka
black-tailed deer and eagles.
Day 06:
Up-close Glacier Bay Cruising
Wake this morning at the face of a
glacier in pristine Glacier Bay. Spend a
full day cruising through this awesome
wonderland. A National Park Service
Ranger will be onboard to provide
information and point out mountain
goats, harbor seals, and brown and black
bears.
Day
07: Skagway and Haines
Relive the
Gold Rush of 1898 in the
picture-perfect setting of Skagway.
Just across the canal, visit
picturesque Haines, best known for its
large concentration of bald eagles.
Day 08:
Arrive Juneau
You will be met on arrival for transfer
to downtown Juneau. The hotel is within
easy walking distance to shopping, the
Capitol Building, and State Museum.
Overnight Juneau Goldbelt Hotel.
